KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM) is holding talks with local councils to improve waste management following a rebuke from Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj over cleanliness in the state.

KDEBWM managing director Dato’ Ramli Mohd Tahir said the concessionaire will assess existing systems to identify weaknesses that need fixing so solid waste management is more systematic and efficient.

“We will look into whether certain parties haven’t received our focus. Sometimes, some things happen outside our control, like littering and floods.
