WASTE MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE 2024- KDEBWM'S MANAGING DIRECTOR AS GUEST SPEAKER

YBhg. Dato' Haji Ramli Mohd Tahir was invited as a panelist in the discussion Smart Cities and Smart Waste: The Intersection of Urbanization and Waste Management, held in conjunction with the WMAM Annual Conference 2024 yesterday at Eastin Hotel, Petaling Jaya. The session was moderated by Dr. Tengku Noor, Senior Expert in Circular Economy at Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG.

During the panel, YBhg. Dato' highlighted the importance of KDEB Waste Management’s implementation of Act 672, which ensures Selangor's progress toward urbanization and becoming a smart city, in line with the objectives of the Rancangan Selangor Pertama (RS-1).

Also on the panel were Mr. Zain Azly Abdul Rahman, Director of Solid Waste Management and Public Cleaning Department, Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya, and Mr. Patarapol Tularak, Secretary General of the Solid Waste Management Association of Thailand (SWAT).
